Our client, a leader in the manufacture and distribution of electromechanical components and interconnect products, has an immediate opening for a Senior Electronic Assembler for its headquarters located in the east metro Twin Cities area. This is a Contract-To-Hire opportunity (90 days)

1st shift 6:30am-3:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Pay rate: $13/HR + $16/HR DOE

Job Purpose:

This position builds, tests, and adjusts electromechanical assemblies to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements. Assembles product by using applicable tools, equipment, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble/test wire harnesses and connectors.  Performs machine setups and may give direction and/or training to a small group of Assembler I's in a work cell or assigned area. Perform visual or other inspection of components to ensure product quality.  Participate in teams to continuously improve production processes or product quality.  Perform manufacturing operations proficiently. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years previous experience in assembly/production, or a combination or post HS education and experience providing equivalent knowledge/skill.

  • Basic computer experience.

  • Math skills including the ability to solve fractions, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication problems.

  • Ability to work with others collaboratively.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Soldering experience and familiar with IPC 620 and quality standards.

  • Knowledge of wire harness and connector manufacturing process.

  • Good understanding of electro-mechanical devices and possess a mechanical aptitude.

  • The ability to read and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs), schematics, prints, and drawings.

  • Familiar with RoHS and non-RoHS materials.
