Our client, a leading medical component manufacturing company has immediate openings for Warehouse Coordinator for it's warehouse facility located in Vadnais Heights. This is a contract-to-hire position.
Summary: Participate on a high performance work team in a fast paced environment that is responsible for all material handling activities including inbound, outbound and to internal Value Streams. Also, has responsibility for inventory accuracy and material preservation.
6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday – Pays: $14/HR + (DOE)
2:00pm-12:30am Monday-Thursday – Pays: $14/HR + (DOE) w/ $.50 shift differential
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for receiving, storing and restocking materials in accordance with company procedures to maintain quality standards.
Responsible for properly shipping products according to work instructions.
Responsible for completing Level I inspection of incoming materials as needed.
Ensure Value Stream Managers have all necessary materials to complete jobs by the due date or information is communicated to Advisor or Value Stream Manager on missing materials before they are needed.
Inspect physical condition of warehouse and suggest maintenance repair as necessary.
Complete inspection of forklifts as required.
Perform warehouse cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment and reporting to management any unsafe working conditions.
Under the guidance of the Warehouse adviser is accountable for participating in and sustaining lean practices.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times and safe work practices.
Accountable for quarterly attendance.
Achieve Service Quality for team.
Achieve on-time delivery goals.
Accountable to achieve goal for inventory accuracy measured by CFO audits.
Accountable for achieving successful work habit verification with no findings.
Responsible for achieving learning and development goals.
High School education or equivalent.
Previous experience with shipping/receiving in a warehouse environment
Experience with roll stock preferred.
Previous inventory control experience.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Forklift driving experience required; current certification a plus.
Proficient PC skills, Microsoft
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Proficient planning, organization, and work prioritization skills
Positive attitude and a team player
Good troubleshooting skills
Exhibits a professional demeanor at all times.
Can speak, understand and write English.
